- At
the beginning of each term, my campus holds a student
activity fair. Our LGBT office uses a give-a-way to entice
students our table. We want to try something new. Any
suggestions?
- Are
there examples of the language one can use in newspaper
ads (on National Coming Out Day, perhaps) supporting "LGBT
rights," "full LGBT inclusion,"etc., accompanied by the
hundreds of names of people on your campus that support
the statement? What are ways to get the funds to run these
sorts of ads?
- What
is a GLBT speaker panel program? How do I start one on
my campus?
- Where
do we find LGBT speakers or entertainers?
- We
want to start a video collection for our new office. Are
there titles you recommend we acquire? Where do we find
those hard-to-locate videos that aren't available through
our local mainstream video vendors?
- Where
can I find distributors for lesbian and gay films to show
on my campus?
- What
is Safe Zone? How do I find information to start a heterosexual
ally program on my campus?
- Do
you have suggestions for strategies on how to be more
inclusive in our programming efforts and get people of
color involved and attending our programs?
- What
is lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender studies or queer
studies? How can I find out more about it?
- We
want to hold an LGBT conference on our campus. How should
we approach this?
- Is
there a model for a "lavender graduation" ceremony that
we can follow or adapt?
- I
need to conduct workshops and training seminars on my
campus. Can anyone share their designs and handouts with
me?
- Does
anyone have recommendations for good Train the Trainer
type workshops or programs with a specific focus on diversity
issues and skills training?
- A
student is beginning a job search and is seeking information
regarding LBGT friendly places to work and/or LBGT-related
career assistance. Do you have suggestions of career resources,
books, websites, etc. that I can suggest this student
check out?
- Where
can I find resources and information on Jewish LGBT issues
and programming suggestions?
- We
want to have some sort of recognition of the violence
against transgendered people. What sort of events can
be done?
- Can
you point me to specific resources that I can use to prepare
an inservice to campus health services regarding lgbt
health concerns?
- Our
campus is looking for more information regarding blood
drives on campus. What are some actions options and details
about the Red Cross Policy?
